Nikolaev Sea Commercial Port (NSCP) general
Location: 46-56’N 34-57’E
Channel: NSCP is connected with Black Sea by the channel (48 miles). Distance from Yuzhny pilot station to NSCP - 68 miles In accordance with channel regulations for the vessels with LOA more than 170 m and / or draft more than 8 m fw traffic in the channel is permitted during daylight only.
Pilotage from / to port of Yuzhny outer roads (psn 46 33,5'N 3100' E) is compulsory.
Remark: For vessels under Ukrainian flag pilotage is not compulsory if the Master passed an examination and has appropriate certificate.
For vessels with LOA more than 187m escorting tug in the channel is compulsory.
Restricted max draft in the channel - 9.8m fw.
Port information:
Official port restrictions: max. LOA - 215m, draft at pier/in channel – max. 9.8m fw.
Pilotage: compulsory (mooring/unmooring, anchorage)
Port working hours: 0000 - 2400 SSHINC
The port's waters, with a depth of from 9 to 10.5 m, provide good anchorage for large tonnage vessels. In ice period, icebreaker assistance is performed by tugs.
Only shore cranes are used during cargo handling.
